5-way blade + SINGLE volume pot = control cavity MUST take up 50% OF THE ENTIRE BACK OF THE GUITAR. These guys have their shit together, alright. ![]() Quote:
Guys hype the shit out of them... until about a week after they've had one and it hits the for sale section. Just saying, some of you guys need to pay more attention, I highly doubt the correlation between guys on here receiving their S7 guitar and either a) sending it back to be rebuilt due to the neck being fuxored or b) throwing it up for sale almost immediately can't be solely based on coincidence...

I am guessing no .... Its not like dl is getting paid , or ola or any of the other guys , they get a guitar . Its not like they are signing a contract they could easily say .... this company , nope instead they are selling there other guitars .? I wonder why people are selling them hmmm , they never played on before and don't like the neck carve etc . Don't say guitars are hype unless you played one . Thats like me saying blackmachines are the biggest pieces of shit I mean look the guy doesn't even put binding around the whole guitar and uses a scarf tail joint so he can cheap out on the wood ... Oh wait thats me assuming ( I know they are not haha just using it to prove my point I know why he does both of those ) . Play a strictly 7 and then say what you think if you still think its all hype thats your opinion and thats fine .

I've played and owned enough nice guitars at this point that I know what to look for as far as quality traits of a build and shitty shortcuts and these guys are full of shortcuts and issue with their builds that I am smart enough to steer clear from buying one. Hell, there's been a few on this board ALONE that had the entire neck go to shit on them within the first few months of ownership. If you feel that's a sign of a quality guitar, kudos to you, but I'm not easily fooled by marketing and endorsee claims. So yes, I will continue to hold the opinion that these are poorly-built guitars by guys who, while they might be the nicest in the business by all accounts from people who have worked with them, are clearly missing a few nuggets of knowledge in the guitar-building department and if I'm paying someone to build me a custom guitar, that's something that goes a long way. Sorry but I refuse to be handed the "talk when you've played one!" lecture about a company that I've seen produce MULTIPLE bad necks in a single year. Normally if it were a brand I didn't know much about I'd agree with you, but in this case I've seen enough ....ed up guitars leave their shop to know I'd never buy one. Just curious, you think that electronics route on the back is appropriately-sized I take it? Take a good second-look before you answer, I'll wait.

Did I say that the guitar is built perfectly ? No I said they are great guitars . Just because the routes on the back are kinda retarded ( I will agree) doesn't mean the guitar doesn't play well . Maybe they are hit or miss so are alot of guitars . But look at guitars in the similar price range I know what I paid for my solar and good luck finding a guitar that plays better . They are a newer company they are still learning you think when blackmachine started the guitars were perfect ? Haha look at the blackmachine # 1 it looks like a parts guitar . Not everyone can be like decibel and have the first guitar they release be perfect . I am not trying to argue but don't say the guitars are all hype . I think bernie ricos play like shit but are well built ( to me theres no point in them then ) I think my solar 7 plays better than any other 7 string out there ...... I guess I am in the same position as you though I have played 1 strictly and you have played none . So if your theory is correct and they are a hit or miss than that means mine might be perfect and the one built after it may blow but ALL I KNOW IS THAT MY SOLAR RAPES MOST GUITAR IN ITS PRICE RANGE . End of discussion .

I'm not excusing Strictly 7 in any way, but since Daemoness Guitars are regarded as high quality instruments in these parts, let's take a look at their electronics route:
![]() I don't know that enormous routes mean bad quality, to be honest. Maybe it does, but Flaxwood and Parker both have rear covers that pretty much take up the entire width of the guitar. [Necris] 6:23 pm: "you will deal with the pork you recieve" |

I think those routes are entirely too large as well. That being said, I have played a Daemoness before and I wouldn't put a Strictly 7 in the same league whatsoever. Parker could make their cavity covers individual to reduce the sheer amount of plastic on the back, but the difference there is that there are multiple cavities underneath, lots of electronics and things filling up that space. The S7 has a single pot and a single switch but a cavity half the size of the guitar. If there is no route under that cover, that's totally ridiculous. If there IS a route that big underneath, that's even worse. Absolutely no need for a cavity that large for almost no electronics. Flaxwood said their backplate is part of their design, as to whether or not that's true I'll leave that to them to explain. You're not making an apples to apples comparison whatsoever.

Who's arguing ? I stated my point you stated yours ..... I feel bad for you if get off on going on forums and " Arguing with people" .It seems that you like to start shit on alot of peoples posts , just like on the dar fbm post some dude wants his money back and you start shit with him over it . . Look the the title post it doesn't say look strictly made another guitar lets all be dipshits and post about it I am done with this you have your opinion I have mine we can agree to disagree . Strictly puts all the info in the cavities so maybe thats why they are so big ... Just a thought my cavity has alot of writing in it . |

FYI - It's only an "argument" when someone continually tries to make an illogical comparison or statement over and over (i.e. you pulling in Blackmachine, Decibel etc. to try to make your random point) without focusing on what you should be debating if you're trying to prove a point. Like I said, I've seen the content of your posts and have no intention on continuing discussing/debating/"arguing" this issue with YOU any further, you do not follow a logical thought process so there is really no point. As I said before, have a great day.

Well, Parker has their reasons, Flaxwood has their reasons (it's a resonator of sorts), and apparently, Daemoness and Strictly 7 have no excuse... But, one of the points made was that somebody who uses huge routes like that on a guitar is likely to not have their shit together. Daemoness is thought to have their shit together, so the aforementioned notion is a misconception. Whether or not either company makes decent guitars is a matter of taste and opinion either way.

Worth noting that Adam of Angels is currently selling a Strictly 7 ... anyways I have no dog in this fight but thought that was worth noting
![]() Apologies I mixed up Gilbertsgotbrootz with another user, so my initial comment was incorrect. Incoming It's a surprise
