Ibanez RGD7421 - shiny spot problem :(
Hi guys! I recently got an RGD7421 and now on the area below the bridge pickup where I lay my finger, it kinda got shiny..
Any way I could take out this shine? |

Oh, just go get some anti-shine.
I'm just kidding. You mean it's got a glossy part? Well you can get some fine grade sand paper, but then you'll have a scuffed up spot under your pickup. I'm not really sure what a quick fix might be that would look good. |

Fine grade steel wool. Just about the best way to remove shine from a satin finish.

I always just used #0000 and pressed lightly moving in a circular motion. Just pay attention to what your are doing and don't get too over zealous with your rubbing and you'll be fine
. Some unsolicited advice: If you ever have a guitar with a gloss finished neck, just rub the back of it with steel wool to remove the gloss and make it play smoother.

My advice: be proud of your shiny spot. It shows that you actually play and marks your guitar as being distinctively yours. And besides... some people pay a lot of money for that road worn look.

^Exactly what he said. Dings and imperfections are what give guitars character, and prove that they've been through things with you.
