7621'a naturally the better of the two. With the 7321, you'd be better going for a 7421 if you can find it - it's japanese made, slightly better parts, and while the pickups aren't as good as the 7621's Dimarzio new 7's, you'll probably want to swap them anyway, so that's not such a big deal.

either way, both are pretty cool guitars when set up well.

I'm starting to learn more about Ibanez guitars...I see the 1(one) denotes fixed bridge...now I'll be prepared for those late night sniping bids on Ebay!

well its not that i prefer fixed bridges, i actually prefer floating trems but i want a fixed bridge for my first 7 so i can down tune to drop a easier. but wheni save enough money i'm gonna have 2 floating trem 7's.

Earlier this year, I purchased an RG7321 as a backup for my ESP SC-607. The 7321 is a very solid axe that I would highly recommend. I've owned nearly every non-Prestige model RG7 that's been out. The differences in the 7621 & the 7321 are pretty minimal. If you're on a budget, you can't go wrong with the 7321. I got mine new for $300. The 7321 is great as is, but for those looking for a fixed bridged 7, it's also a great foundation for customization.

OK so can we run through all of the Ibanez choice together, starting from the most expensive down to the least, pinpointing the diff...I mean I always wanted to know. Sometimes I see Ibanez 7 strings for sale, but unless I have some knowledge of these guitars, I won't jump...like now on Ebay there's a Prestige 7 for sale...but that just adds to my already confused state of Universes, Jems, S-Series, RG's and so on...

Wow I guess that really explains things...there's an RG 7620 on Ebay now with a BIN for 400.00, so I'm thinking hard here (I think its Vampire Kiss)...
