what's the scale on that thing? looks like it's more than 25.5 I'm a sucker for 27" scales.

Nah, it's a regular old 25.5" scale which is nice since I haven't played anything besides 6ers for about a year and a half? So moving back to 7's alone is a bit of a learning experience again, and I was never a fan of 27" scales on any guitar since I have girly hands I can do 26.5, but after a while it's a bit old, so 27" would be annoying I imagine. Only RG7's I know of that are 27" are the 1077XL's and the 7421XL's

That one might be a bit tough since I don't have a recording setup at the moment. Trying to get one going but I need to see my roommate has a USB cable to go from POD -> Mac, and then figure out what the .... to do from there

My guess is that it sounds huge given it's a SD Blackout + Mahogany combo

I was often tempted to get one of those as a mod / refin project, because the basic design is so sleek. This thread doesn't help.

I actually know someone who had the same exact guitar / pickup combination and hated the sound he got out of it. So once you had the chance to plug her up, let us know how you like it.

Of course I'm just seeing this now I hope all that paper went to good use! That ABR shirt showed up the wrong size, I'm an L/XL too haha and was hoping you'd end up being a medium so it could finally see some use after four or five years of never being worn.

Glad it made it safe man it was a long trip. It actually sounds pretty sick with that pickup/wood combo. I'm more of a passive guy too, but I liked them enough to keep them in. I was using it with my band for a bit (we play in drop B so I strung it up in that tuning with a low G#) and it sounded a lot better and tighter than my RGT42 with Blackouts. The 7 string Blackouts seem like totally different beasts.
