ESP Custom Shop Double Cut Eclipse (Ben Savage from Whitechapel)

After a 2 year wait Ben finally got his ESP Custom Shop double cut Eclipse. I think it turned out really awesome and unique. Ben is definitely a "think outside of the box" kind of guy and I think it really displays his persona. The guitar was routed and originally had EMGs but since we recently switched to Dimazrio he had ESP replace the EMGs with a Crunch Lab and Liquifire, so the routes are visible but I don't think it detracts anything away from the guitar. Specs and pictures below!

Swamp Ash wings, Maple neck through
Swamp Ash top
Matte black finish
Maple fret board
Black half crescent moon inlays
TOM bridge
Single volume knob
3 way selector
Crunch Lab in the bridge, Liquifire in the neck
Sperzel locking tuners

very unique and cool

When I first saw you say double cut LP 7 a while back, I wasn't too keen on the idea, but seeing it like that, I eat my words! .... that thing is gorgeous!

Not feeling it. Everything looks good, but that body shape just doesn't look right to me. Oh well. That's his custom.

Wish the horns were more pronounced, less Carvin-esque more Gibson style basically. Still looks ace overall.

I like that, a lot actually, but I wouldn't call it unique. Everything seems 'done before' save for the black crescent moon inlays on the maple fretboard.

But, I digress. That is a sweet guitar!

Leave no stone unturned until I'm done.

I agree. The horns would look cooler if they were more like the regular DC Eclipse.

The swamp ash looks great though.

I LOVE IT.

Also, I didn't even notice the EMG routes, nice! Is it 25.5" scale? The really low cuts make it look longer.....

Love the finish, too bad about the routes & the inlays are sort-of Schecter'ish. But congrats fella, it's WC for sure.

I like the design. The color is a bit boring though and I hate oversized pickup routes though. It's a great idea though, I'd like to play one!

I don't know if matte black is "thinking outside of the box" but it is pretty neat.
