Emerald Green Carvin DC700!
I just got my new Carvin DC700 yesterday and I couldn't be happier with how it turned out.
The specs: 5 piece walnut neck (tung oiled) w/two maple stripes and reverse headstock. Ebony fretboard w/jumbo frets, 20" radius, and no inlays. Swamp ash body w/maple top, finished in emerald green. Chrome hardware including tune-o-matic bridge w/strings through the body, locking tuners, and strap locks. Carvin's passive pickups vs. their active pickups that are stock with DC700's. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

I was messing around with the Carvin guitar builder a few days ago and was so curious to see the Emerald Green finish on a real photo... and there you go! I love this. Reminds me of the old Stef Carpenter model ESP and that is exactly what I was hoping for.

I'd be ordering a DC700 if it wasn't for the TOM...and active-sized routes.....and money....

The guitar looks great, one question I have about DC700's though:
Why are the bridges so high up on the body? It's something I try to ignore, but it's so obvious. Although, I don't think the bridges are that high up on the DC800's (at least they don't look like it to me...) |
