1 Year of Playing a 7!!!!

Just thought I'd share (the actual anniversary was Wednesday, but I was busy doing college stuff ) Seems like a lot less. Here's the original thread:

It's here, bitches!!!1

Anyway, I've come a long way in this year, including having written almost 3 albums worth of material, as well as started putting together a band (all we need is a drummer and we're set!).

Before I got my 7, all my songs were absolute crap. Anyway, here is a short clip from the first song I ever wrote with my 7 (and actually, the earliest finished song I ever wrote). Since it's old, it's not the greatest, but it seems to appropriate to post it in this thread.

I will re-record my parts for this song this weekend since my guitar was out of tune when I recorded this. Just thought I'd share something

BTW, the song is about 6 minutes long, and the distortion (what you are hearing) doesn't kick in till the very end, so this is the outro for the song. Joey (our other 7-string guitarist) is busy recording the accoustic parts with his piezo-equipped JP7 right now

1 year!!! Here's to many more

Very nice, reminds me a bit of Opeth and Textures.
Just a bit, just first thoughts really

Trust your ears.

In life and music, what is is but that doesn't always mean it's what it should. Change, is in our hands.

Sounds great. I really liked the tone and the playing was great.

I also realized that I've owned a 7-string about 19 months now...

Now I lay me down to sleep
Blah, blah, blah my soul to keep
If I die before I wake
I'll go to hell for heaven's sake

Thank a lot fellas!

And I appologize for the excessive bass in the mix. This was just a very rough test to see how the finished thing would sound--you can rest assured that the finished thing will sound completely pro

That track sounds slick, Nik. I've been playing my seven-string guitar for, lessee, about 14-15 months now. I've completely mastered the use of the low B and implemented it into my 6-string playing style and, as a result, to some degree, my playing style has completely changed. Thanks, RG1527GK.
