Dude.... you're so giving me ideas here. How easy was it to put a Kahler on there? Can you put up more pics? Also did you get the stud mount Kahler or the noraml top mount?

kahler was easy to put on as I have done a few in the past. I went with the flat mount just needed to rout and sanded that part of the guitar flat to mount it.

Any more details? Did you get the bridge plate to raise it up for the neck angle? Also did you just buy a schaller 7 string nut or does the 7 string hybrid come with the ofr nut now?

:gas:

EDIT: Can you post up more pics of the Kahler, the neck action and the nut?

Damn. That looks boss. Does that pickup ring cover the EMG route?

Nice work, dude. That is one of the sexiest Jackson 7's I've seen. Natural Mahogany + Kahler = win.

no bridge plate needed, the neck was too high just sanded it down to fit right, used a floyd style locking nut, I will get some more pics soon

yes the ring does cover the emg route, not sure if I want to keep the ring or replace it with the larger blackout.

You mean you took some of the heel down to get it to fit in or routed out the heel pocked down a bit to get it to fit.

Whoa, that part sounds scary to me (ie I don't trust myself not to jack it up).
But that's a super cool job on this, man. For the first time ever I could see myself getting a COW.

that's a damn good "guitar" job

looks awesome...

my version would be -> urban camo + original floyd rose and a seymour duncan blackout phase 2 and of course... THE DAMN VOLUME POT IN A DIFFERENT POSITION! (can't stress enough how much it's in the "wrong" place )

Here's my band check it out: http://www.facebook.com/badbloodcro

Being a Kahler addict myself, I approve!

A tip: Upgrade to stainless steel rollers, if you think the brass is robbing the guitar of sustain and harmonics.

Leave no stone unturned until I'm done.
