NGD: My First Custom
As mentioned above, this is my first custom guitar ever; just 6 weeks buildtime and it's perfect (at least for me)...more Pictures soon. I can't stop playing it right now.
Headstock: ![]() Neckjoint (perfect): ![]() Bodyshot: ![]() Way too sexy... ![]() Technical Data: Alder Body, Maple Neck, Flamed Maple Fretboard; Häussel Tozz Bridge and Neck PUs, Ceramic Magnets (Bridge ~19,4K, Neck ~12,4K), HOT! Tone Pros Bridge, Schaller M6 Mini Locking Tuners; Scale Length 670mm (~26,3") Check out my luthier: http://www.zeal-guitars.de/ Bastian did (as always) an outstanding Job on this guitar. Enjoy! Talking about music is like dancing about architecture. - Steve Martin Women are like mesas, all the knobs don't do what they say they do, some do the same thing as others, some don't do anything at all, and you have to set them all right before any kind of enjoyment can come out of it. And the next day when you fire it up with the same settings, it might sound like shit again. - silentrage |

I don't really like plain maple fretboards but bird's eye, flamed, and curly maple are ftw!

@orakle: The Häussels have Tons of gain, but they still keep a lot of clarity; very nice Bass/Low-Mid-Punch, lots of treble, I had to dial down the treble on my Amp (first time ever:-)). They're very direct, aggressive and non-forgiving - you play shitty, it'll sound shitty, but that's how I like it.
I've got a Megaswitch on the guitar, you can even funk out on it, no kidding! Looks great, very cool! I might prefer one with an inline headstock, though!

Loving the fretboard. A darker stained body or darker veneer / top would have been a nice contrast. It looks a bit uncompleted to me the way it is right now.

@fps: Deceptive Simplicity was what I was shooting for :-), and it kills no matter what...!
@ibanez4lifesz: it's very bright, brighter than all my other guitars, but it's still fine; I wanted quick response and punch, I wouldn't have gotten that with mahogany (I guess, I discussed it pretty long with my luthier), especially as the body is a little bit bigger than the original Amott, thus having more mass and slowing the response. Again, it sounds very bright and alive, me likey...the next one is already finished in my head, gotta save up some money first :-)). That's beautiful! Hopefully the slightly larger body also slightly counteracts neck-dive?
Looks balanced and wonderfully understated

looks great, though it seems like the fretboard/neck doesnt taper down at all
I like my guitar tone like I like my women, perfect rounded bottom end, cut in the mid section, heavy on the top end, and super tight. Omnium - Atmospheric/Trance/Ambient |

@ShadyDavey: thanks to the body and/or the position of the Strapknobs there's no Neckdive at all. She just stays in whatever position you put her, very balanced Instrument.
