NGD-Finally back in a 7
So the day has come and I own a 7 string again!! Yes I know its cheap, not as nice as my 7421 was and is Chinese but Im broke and I could afford this!!!
So far, I like how the body feels. The neck is, well a bit awkward. Its decently thin but is a bit wide and I guess I just dont like the contour of it. Its no Ibby thats for sure! My only complaint is the reverse headstock. Its big, bulky and looks funny. Pickups are ok for being a cheapy. Gonna look for a Crunchlab Im thinking! All in all I paid $100 for this, its in great shape and it stays in tune! Ill take better pics when I re-string and clean it all up. ![]()

nice! i didn't know squire did any 7's until a few weeks back.
i don't mind the headstock, i've always preferred reverse strat heads for some reason. "Very funny, Scotty. Now beam down my clothes." |

Yeah the Stagemaster 7 is the only one Squire did I think. Honestly I wasnt too thrilled about owning a Squire but its somewhat rare and its actually turning out to be a solid guitar so far.

Honestly it doesn't sound too bad for cheap pickups. They do the job and sound decently clear. I hope to put a crunchlab in it if I keep it though.

I agree they are pretty solid and a good player. Pickups are cheap, but thats easily remedied. |

Congrats! Yeaah the Squier surprised me too. I got it as a cheap backup and found out it was really solid- good even response and they do stay in tune well! Rock it in good health!

They ARE solid guitars. I have one that I modded out. I took off the headstock paint and put a Fender logo on it. Took the paint off the body and stained it and did a black burst on it with black sides and back. Locking tuners and a ToneZone7 bridge and AirNorton 7 neck with a Fender five way super switch for coil tapping.
![]() ![]() I also own a Fender Squier Stratocaster VII that I modded out big time. I may have to start a tread on that one! Here are both before I repainted them!

Stagemasters 7 are awesome for their price. The Fender neck (which I hate on 6's) pretty much works out great in 7 format

Yeah I was pleasantly surprised at how thin and nice the neck was. Definitely not your normal fender strat neck.

But like said, It is a very thin fast neck to begin with and I do love the headstock now that I removed the paint. And they DID also make these with floyds! |

Yeah it plays just fine for what I need. Besides I have a schecter black jack baritone if I need low tuned shit that is a more expensive guitar.
