Played a C-7 Hellraiser today

I didnt like it. The neck is too thick and the access to the higher frets sucks. And Im for sure not a fan of the 26.5 inch scale. The EMGs sound great though. Im dissapointed. I was hoping Id really like it alot. Oh well

i played one at gc and thought the same, the upper fret access on the Blackjack is way worse though

I hear ya; I was kinda interested in going for Schecter Blackjack, but I just can't get over that damn, thick neck. I guess my Ibanez has spoiled me.

I love the 26.5" scale, though, and everything else about it

the thick neck grows on ya alot, and the duncuns sound amzing compared to the EMGs i think.

Nope, the cutaway on the Blackjack meets the neck a fret or two higher than on the Hellraiser.

The neck is set farther into the body of the blackjack than the hellraiser, the body shape is the same.

Which, for practical purposes, means the neck meets the body a fret or two higher in relation to the fretboard
