NGD! First seven string

Finally got my first seven string today, the Schecter Chris Garza sig. I am not a Suicide Silence fan, but this guitar is just too sexy and awesome to pass up. Plays awesome as hell. My only complaint is the garza inlay on the 12th fret, but I might cover that up somehow eventually. Other than that, the specs and the appearance is killer. Sounds great too. Anyone got some suggestions for some good seven string stuff to start out on to get familiar with the instrument?

Wow I've been lusting after this for ages and scheming on selling just about everything I own just to get hold of one so congrats man that's one hell of a guitar!

BTW when it's strapped up it doesn't suffer from neck dive does it?

Congratulations friend, I really dig the Tele-like shape of those Garza's.

It does a *little* bit, but I wouldn't call it a neck diving guitar (Like say the LTD viper I used to have with the strap button on the back, that thing had terrible neck dive). There's definitely a bit of weight there, but the headstock isn't rushing to the ground the moment you let go of the neck or anything

Awesome guitar. I love fixed bridges on a sevenstring, because I drift between Bb Standard, B Standard and Drop A depending on what stuff I feel like playing that day.

I want one of these bad.

Damn, thats a nice looking axe. for beginner 7 string songs, i was about to recommend you learn some SS. I like them, but I can understand why alot of people don't. Maybe try out Icarus Lives by Periphery or Dark Eternal Night by Dream Theater.

awesome, love how it deviates from most of the other 7's on the market being the telecaster shape!

Why dont you look at gettin a block inlay personal to you put in place of the Garza inlay? instead of sharpie covering it haha

Can't be too expensive and tbh if you find someone who will make the inlay you could probably rout and fit it yourself

Other than that beautiful axe man, i never used to like the tele shape until i saw this beast!

Thats damn awesome. Everytime I seen Garza I didnt pay much attention I thought it was a Stephen B7. I was wrong. How much was it?
