Belated NGD - "PRS" 7 Copy

Hi!
So, I've already made a thread about progress of this guitar being made, but I thought (after looking at Musza's Kiwi 7, which is made by the same luthier as mine) I'll make thread in here as well
Here's link to his beauty:
NGD Kiwicaster 7

I post some pics in here as well.

The veneer on headstock is wenge, I don't know why it turned to this reddish, brown colour on pics. It looks almost black.

I'll try to shoot some better pics, to show you beauty of that woods.
Ash is the same as in Musza's Kiwi, so is the flame maple.
Randy, Musza, blister7321 and 5 others like this.

For now it has Dimarzio New7 (taken from Musza's awesome 7860 by the way). I've replaced them, in the bridge is Neck, and in the neck is Bridge. Bridge pickup has sort of "90's" characteristics, that dosen't sound too good for me. I'm planning to buy some decent pickup for the bridge, New 7 Neck sounds really good in both positions, so i'm not going to replace it.
Yeah, I had to put cheap pickups because I had no money at the time for better ones.
Any ideas what could deliver tight, but not too bright tone with these woods: walnut for the neck, ash and maple for the body? I would like to do some djent of course.

I can throw two links with my songs if you want, I've used this axe to record them. My mixing skills aren't excelent, but guitar sounds kinda good I guess.

Those woods seems perfect for Seymour Duncan, maybe a SH-5 Custom in the bridge, and a SH-2 Jazz in the neck?

As far as links go, link away

Well, I've heard some recordings with Greco LP, that had SH-5 with VHT Pittbull I guess. With LP it was really agressive and tight sound, but I'm scared of having too bright sound. My guitar has harder and brighter woods than mahogany, also the scale is longer (27").
I'm not going to replace the New7 Neck, it sounds good enough. It just sings at the solos.

There you go.

Songs are pretty lame, I'll work on them.
Signal chain:
Guitar -> line in (yeah, I really have to buy some kind of DIbox) -> Reaper (4 tracks panned 100% to the sides, Lepu 456 and Lecto simulations)

Soo, when I get some decent pickup and interface then I can show you how this thing sounds. Those two songs were recorded just for fun.
Hope you like it though

Well, the SH-5 is a pretty dark sounding pickup, wound especially for bright guitars (I'm a huge SD skipper, you might have noticed), so I think you'll be fine.

I will listen to those tracks with great anticipation in the morning

Thank you, lovers and haters
Hey guys, shoot me another examples of good pickup for this axe. My friend has a Schecter BJ (which was mine by the way) and installed a D-Activator. It sounds very nice, especially compared to SH-4 (better djents and all that stuff, worse on full chords).
Well, I would like to have something rather dark, but tight. Oh, I rather pass on Bare Knuckles - they are hard to get in my country.
