I heard that esp stoped doing 7-string with a floyd beacuse there bridge would not hold. Is there any thruth to this.

Do you mean it wouldn't hold tune? To my knowledge all their trem equipped production 7's used a licenced Floyd. It's ok, on a par with the others but not as good as a real one.

No I meant that the floyds actually brakes/destroys.

I doubt it. If they're trems broke, I imagine a lot of other manufacturers' trems would break too, since they probably all come from the same place. The solution if it did happen? Get an OFR.

The lic. floyd on my ESP/LTD is fine and the guitar's 5 years old.
