NGD (KxK content, huge pics)

This KxK Sii-7 is from the FB run a couple years ago. I finally got it last month, and since I had some time and good light the other day, I figured it was time to share.

Pretty standard Sii-7 specs:
  • 27" scale
    Maple neck-thru
    Mahogany wings
    Ebony fretboard
    Crunchlab/Liquifire
    RED!

I haven't played enough high end guitars to make any meaningful comparisons, but this is a really outstanding axe. The fretwork is great, the neck is comfy and smooth, the weight is hefty but comfortable, and the strings ring out loudly and clearly, even acoustically. Plus, it's damn nice to look at. Speaking of which, nobody opened this thread wanting to read much of my opinion. On to the pics! Anything that looks like a flaw is just dirt or grease that I didn't notice until later.

I'm drooling here. Looks DAMN fine.

Pardon the odd question, but are there any 'unique' design elements for your, or KxKs guitars? Anything not found on other custom instruments.

Liking the finish.

I have noticed these guitars seem to have 2 transition points of finish on the neck, colour and clear, any idea why? (Noticed it on Techno's guitar too).

That is a really unique red stain. The mix of cherry and brick red actually looks really killer. Awesome, but definitely not helping with my desire for a KxK guitar! DAH!

Awesome guitar, congrats I love KxK's stains they always look so cool on mahogany/maple combos like that

It's the little things on KxKs that I love so much, like the recessed angled output jack instead of a metal plate slapped on the side of the body, the hidden fret ends, recessed strap locks, sperzel locking tuners, graphtech nuts

Incoming
It's a surprise
