NGD: Cockstock rules, deal with it (With special guest!)
words words words words
PICTURES ![]() IN THE WILD ![]() SPOTTING A VICTIM ![]() SEDUCING THEIR PREY ![]() VOLUTES = CLASSY ![]() DAT ASS A little bit of focus on the Les Paul Recording now: ![]() There's so much nitro cracking on the headstock, it's ridiculous Can't really see it here, though ![]() Big ass crack on the bottom of the guitar, no idea how it got there. No idea about any of the damage, really. ![]() More battlescars. Got the H207 in a trade for an AL 2500 I had. The LPR I've had for a while, my dad left it to me. I don't think I ever asked him how the .... it's in the condition it's it. I've never seen the pickguard, I don't think I've ever had it. The bridge and tailpiece are...missing, I guess. The bridge might be somewhere in the basement, but I have no clue about the tailpiece. The wiring is all shot to hell, and it's missing knobs (which have special labeling, so it's hard to get replacements.) I don't even know if the pickups work. The pickup rings, which are basically oval pieces of metal, if you've never seen them, aren't currently on, but I have them. If the pickups don't work, I'm going to see if it's even possible to rewind them, or have new ones made that'll fit the old cavities. Given the strange wiring system it has, I'd probably come up with a whole new use for all the switches and knobs, and save the old pickups for a day when I want to return it to its low-impedance, straight into PA glory. |

I most definitely will enjoy it. I was really surprised by how comfortable the neck joint is. I never thought a bolt on that wasn't rounded could be so comfy.

That H-207 is cool but I'm afraid I find the LP much more interesting!

Congrats on the score for the H207 bro! I gotta ask you though - Did you get it off a kid in EG named Jay by any chance?

Well, I'm sure I'll let it go eventually, just not for a while
Thanks. I've been wanting another LTD or ESP for a while, since I miss my EC-1ks, and while this isn't quite the same, it'll do nicely. Now, I just need to find an MH307. |

That H207 does look nice, but it seems kind of lame next to the LP.

I assure you fans of the LPR it will be restored as far as electronics and hardware goes. I love the battered look it has going for it, but I will probably have a luthier take a look at the crack and see if it's stable or not. Like I said before, the wiring is totally shot, but I think I can check to see if the pickups are still working. They should, I mean, pickups are pretty simple in design, and these are encased in plastic entirely.
The only problem is this thing has such a weird wiring set up, I don't even know what parts it needs, and I have no clue where to find properly labeled knobs for it. The fretboard is also uneven, and seems to be missing some material, I think the neck is a little crooked, and the frets are worn to almost nothing. But it still played like a dream last time it had strings on it. |

One day, they will realize their folly and the cockstock will return.
And hopefully a reverse cockstock because I really would like to see one of those. |
