The bridge pickup isn't great, but the neck is usable (can't remember which is which).

no ... and neither should you!

i'm just messing with you ... but serious ... those pickups are such ultra garbage it isn't funny. if you play a POD or something it's a little better ... but plug those into tubes and they are soooooo weak ... you'll need an overdrive in front of your amp regardless.

i've had them on other guitars before ... they never last long ... at least swap out the rear humbucker.

Hmm... imagine that. Such bad reviews.

And I use them in 3 of my guitars. (Even swapped out the DiMuddzios "New-7"s from my RG7621 and put the V7-7/V8-7 in it). Go figure.

^ You haven't had good Dimarzios in there to compare. If you played my 2027, you'd forget about those pickups (probably ). The DS7 and AN7 are pretty much better.

They aren't that bad though, I'll agree. Not excessively muddy. Just a bit weak and sorta thin.

You also have a naked man in your avatar ;p

The only good stock p/u that ibanez has done is the New7 Neck, IMO. and most others will agree. Its actually a really good pickup. the others? not so much.

Glory and praise to Thee, Satan, on high,
Where Thou didst reign, in Hell where Thou dost lie,
Vanquished, silent, dreaming eternally.
Grant that my soul some day rest close to Thee
Under the Tree of Knowledge which shall spread
Its branches like a Temple overhead.

That's cool. I guess I should have asked the question a little better as I was wondering if anything helps the clarity. I'll try the OD pedal in front.. Thanks..
