Unearth = BEADGBE. They have been playing with 7 string guitars and 5 string basses in standard since 98 or so. A lot of their songs are pretty much impossible in drop B. For example, "Black Hearts Now Reign" uses the open E string quite a bit (the song starts out in E and plays in E for a little bit before switching down into B) and there is no open E string in drop B.

When I first heard Unearth 4 years ago, I thought they were using six strings and I wondered "How do they get their strings to sound so tense and no flappy in drop B?" and I'd hear some songs where I'd think "How the hell do you play that in drop B?" When I saw one of their music video's for the first time and saw they used seven strings, I thought, "So THAT'S why!"

So, you just got a great guitar for playing Unearth. Congrats. I'd love to try out a K-7.
