That's a myth. I've had three K7s and none of them had glow in the dark side dots. If they did, they must have wore off long ago.

Yes that B7 is way over priced what the hell was I thinking when I bought it. I just can't see a guitar getting much nicer than this. I'm curious to see what the emg 81-7's would sound like in the K7. I still have my B7 haven't sold it yet what's funny is my dad has been playing the crap out of it he loves it and he plays blues.lol I was considering maybe taking those emg's out the B7 and putting them in the K7 eventually...although I'd probably have to get the K7 routed...maybe not a good idea.

BTW the side markers do glow in the dark on mine but they are not very bright.

don't take the emg's out of the b7, leave it how it is, if you're gonna put emg's in the k7 just buy a new set... but if i were you i'd see what you can find in passives that you like so you don't have to route.

For some reason I thought they used drop B but that's cool I have my guitar tuned to standard b and it feels much better. That is a great guitar. I have one and it is my favorite 7 that I've owned out of a UV777bk a couple 7620's and an S7420fmtt. Although my s7420 may move into first once the lopro edge 7 and TZ7 AN7 are all in...

Dont put a TZ7 in the S7420FM man. TZ7 is the worst pickup DiMarzio makes and sounds nothing like a TZ6. Please heed my (and everyone whos tried one here) advice on this.

PS: Leave the PAF7s in your K7, once you get the pickup height adjust you'll love it. If not, go with the D Sonic 7. The best metal pickup of all time. EMGs area joke compared.

Cool guitar dude!

Chris: Avoid the TZ7 like the plague! I made the mistake of putting on in mahogany - uurrrggh... it was horrid. No tone or definition at all. I'd highly reccomend a PAF7 in the bridge of an S7420, mine sounds fantastic like that.

Leave the PAF's in there! I've played the K7 too, and the mahogany body with PAF's through a tube amp is damn sexy. Awesome tone.
