i own both rg1527 and rc7x and let me tell you, if you are willing to replace the frets on rc7x you will have a great axe better than a prestige rg1527

i breifly had a 1527. it was ok. i have never played a rc7. any modle. truth be told for the price of the 1527 you can get a way better playing guitar like a k7 (hells yes) or a loomis (heard great things.) i just dont think the 1527 is a very good deal. unless you find one for around 500

I liked my 1527 better than the green dot UV I had at the same time, but I haven't played the rc7x yet. If you're going to spend the money buying one new, I'd suggest either finding a K7 (as aslsmm suggested) used or spend less and find a 1527 used. I think there's one or two listed on this site.

Definitely go the Ibanez.

For a Dean, the RC7x is great. But when I played one after getting my 1527, I was so bored by it. There's no part of it that interests or appeals to me.

Forgive me if I'm wrong, but aren't you selling your 1527?

Yeah, only because I'm going back to 6 strings, I've had it for nearly 2 years and love it.
