Ibanez rg 1527

OMG!I just tried this wonderful guitar and I'm shocked!Great feeling, great playing and for a cheap model it has pretty decent pick ups!The store owner, pluged it through a 30w hughes and ketner and it sounded plain awesome, both clean and distorted!I'm definately gonna start saveing up for this guitar!

i've heard lots of good things about these. be sure to take some pics when you snag one

I have a radical idea. The door swings both ways,
we could reverse the particle flow through the gate.
We'll cross the streams.

I'm not sure I'd call it a cheap model but they sure do look good, I'd buy one if I could for sure.

I tried one the other day and although i liked it i wasn't keen on the neck profile compared to the 7620 and i still think the Edge-Pro is absolute pants compared to the Lo-Pro.

Is "absolute pants" good or bad?

Can you explain the difference between Edge-Pro and Lo Pro?I don't quite get it.

I have to say the neck was super comfortable!!

Maybe i'm just an idiot who can't accept change but.....

The guitars i've played with the EP i didn't like at all.
I only owned one and that was a 6 (RG1570) and i hated the trem on that with a passion.
They're made of much lower-grade metal than the Lo-Pro's,they look hideous in comparison (i know that's not really a valid reason but most of us guitarists are pretty fussy about cosmetics)and they don't have locking-studs (a problem which can be resolved though).
The 1527's i've played didn't go back into tune very well at all,but they were relatively new guitars so maybe the springs hadn't settled (?).
But then i've played brand-new Lo-Pro equipped guitars and they were fine.

You've also gotta' wonder why most (probably all, in fact)of the top Ibanez Endorsee's (Vai,Satch,Korn etc, etc.)don't use a single guitar fitted with an Edge-Pro trem.
I could offer my suggestions as to why this is but i would just be repeating myself.

I'd be more than happy if everyone bought brand-new 1527's fitted with Edge-Pro's because that would mean there would be more used RG7's with Lo-Pro's around for me to buy.

I won't even go into the fact that the older (pre '03,pre EP.The good old days when a 'Prestige' decal on the headstock actually meant something) RG's are better guitars, nicer necks, better build quality/materials etc. etc.
