Griefgiver has a little shameless behaviour in the past
Thumbs up SCHECTER GUITARS: SMALL HANDS VS. THICK NECKS

WHAT'S UP GUYS...
I'M NEW AROUND HERE SO, BE GENTLE.
I HAVE A 6 STRINGS JACKSON SOLOIST AND I PLAY DEATH METAL (LIKE CANNIBAL CORPSE, MORBID ANGEL, NILE, ETC.) AND I'M GONNA JOIN YOU GUYS IN THE SEVEN STRINGS WORLD.
I LIVE IN BRAZIL AND THERE'S JUST NOT ANY STORE SELLING SCHECTER GUITARS IN THE WHOLE GODDAM COUNTRY. I'LL HAVE A FRIEND BRINGING IT TO ME FROM US.
I'M BEEN DOING A LOT OF RESEARCH 'BOUT 7'S AND I CAME TO A VERY DIFFICULT DILLEMA: WILL I FEEL A LOT OF TROUBLE ABOUT THE THICKNESS OF A 7 STRING GUITAR NECK? I MEAN... I HAVE MEDIUM TO SMALL HANDS AND I NEVER GOT THE CHANCE TO PLAY A 7 STRINGS SCHECTER GUITAR.
I'VE BEEN HAVING A REAL HARD TIME DECIDING IF I'M GONNA GET A C7 BLACKJACK, C7 HELLRAISER OR, DUE TO THE SIZE OF MY HANDS, A 007 ELITE.
AS I SAID BEFORE I PLAY A 6'S JACKSON. COULD ANY OF YOU GUYS GIVE ME SOME LIGHT ME ABOUT WHAT I'M GONNA FIND WHEN I GET A 7? OR, SHOULD I REALLY GET A 007 ELITE (SMALLER NECK) INSTEAD OF A HR OR A BLAKJACK?

YOUR TEXT IS AS METAL AS YOUR DECISION TO SWITCH TO SEVENS

i've heard about some guys with some small hands really tear it up on a 7. no matter how big your hands are (unless you're Wilt Chamberlain), you'll have to adjust your playing posture to accomodate the different neck size to avoid injury to your hands or wrists.

someone with smaller hands may have a bit of a tougher time. all i can suggest is that you try and find a 7 to test the waters with, and let us know how it goes.

I have a radical idea. The door swings both ways,
we could reverse the particle flow through the gate.
We'll cross the streams.

I have small hands myself and I haven't had a problem playing any 7 strings at all except at first and it was getting used to a wider fretboard, I recommend checking out some Ibanez 7 strings as they have the best playing necks around with a nice thin feel which makes it easy to play.

hehe, nice caps..i like it

welcome to the boards mate....

i have small hands, as big as most girls, sometimes smaller coz i know alot of butch chicks but anyway thats beside the point hehe...it all depends on technique, with good technique you'll be ok, i just ordered a baritone 7 string (27inch scale) which will me a mega challenge.

keep practising and you'll get used to it eventually.

Labrie is on a distinguished road
My hands are on the small side but even worse my pinky is even smaller than it should be. I have trouble working with my pinky on a six string let a lone a seven. It limits me in some way's but I've learned to move my ring finger twice as fast lol. Everyone adjusts, I wouldn't worry about it.

seven string is NOT a huge difference from 6 string, I don't know.. I didn't have any trouble with the wider neck, and I'm a girl... well the truth is that I have ibanez 1527 with the wizard thing, about schecter I can tell you nothing, but I don't think that it will be a big problem.

Lankles is a jewel in the rough
My hands are probably about average sized apart from my ridiculously small pinky . My Schecter poses absolutely no problems for me. I've actually come to prefer it's bulkier neck to the noodle-impersonator Ibanez necks.
