EMG 707 dimensions question? is this right?

hey guys i know that 707s are in a 35dc housing and was wondering if these were the right measurements



is that 3 and a 1/2 " or 3 and 5/8"?

I just measured mine and they're 88mm X 37mm (3 and 7/16th's x 1 and 7/16 th's of an inch) exactly.They've probably added an extra 1/16th of an inch to their given measurements to be on the safe side.
I always measure in mm's because it's a far more accurate and sensible way to measure. I mean eights and sixteenths are usually only used for 'exotic substances' these days,lol.

could you measure that again just to be sure also measure cavity to cavity coz you know what they say cut once measure twice and theres no room for error with these dimensions

i use 32nd's and 64th's more accurate than mm oh and thousandths when needed, using digital calipers...

i don't have EMG's... and i would go by what emg says, because you want to give a little bit of room to breath, you don't want it to fit snugly, especially if you're going to paint the cavity in any way.

yeah il give it a mm each side so in total the route is 89mmx38mm

the guys in the shop are fitting the pickups free not me ,im going through 2 seperate guys one customizes and makes guitars the other is the music shop im getting the emgs from, i wonder if i take the pickups from thwe shop i ordered them from i can go down to the guitar custom guy and then go back to th shop i got the pups from and get em in??

and btw i wont be painting the cavity coz thatll cost me a load
