Yeah without SS.org I would have just spent 700 dollars. This rules.

One thing that would interest me personally would be what everyone plans to do, pickup-wise, once they get their new S7's? Since I already have on RG7 basswood model with Blackouts, I know I want to go with passives in this new mahogany S7, but I still haven't decided which ones. Likely they will be DiMarzios, though.

Nevermind. Another lister posted a separate thread on this very topic, so I'll just watch that, instead.

Thanks.

Hooray, that was my thread.

Anybody else just get a Backorder notice in their email? Hoping everyone got one, and not just me. Want to make sure I placed my order in time

Also, looks like it's now just listed as "DISCONTINUED" on Musician's Friend. Glad I didn't wait any longer to order.

My order got canceled. Turns out they don't ship to Canada.

Mine's also scheduled for tomorrow. Will try to beat Iceblade to the NGD, but I'll have to steal my girlfriend's camera when she isn't looking.

Dammit, why do I live in New Zealand, why? That same guitar would cost around 2k here.

GOT IT! Plays decently. Fretboard IS DRY AS THE SAHARA DESERT!!!! Seriously. This thing looks like it's been in the sun for years. Inspection date is June 2009, but it must have sat in a nice dry warehouse ever since. Pickups don't suck as bad as I thought they would... at least through my Axe-Fx. I need to do a full setup on her, that's for sure. Neck feels obviously different than my RG7621, but I expected that. It's not night and day, though. All in all, glad I purchase it, so far. Now to decide on the pickup replacements.

Regs,
Jeff

AMEN even the string gauges seemed out of whack on it, like 13 - 50's or something a bit of tweaking though its good to go. So were sales that bad on these that they had such a big back surplus of them, hanging out in a warehouse somewhere?

The pickup route at the neck towards the fretboard isnt cut perfect... Where it should be straight with the pickup...it has kinda a light smiley dip down towards the pickup. If painkillers dont fit right in because of this shit, this ............ is sold. Im assuming they are of standard size :::paranoia:::. Its not that bad. But i was going to put LED's shining around the pickups and shining through the trem. .... half of that idea now.

Or, you could get a file from Home Depot for $5, or some sand paper if you're really strapped for $3, and take the 10 minutes to fix the "problem".

Though, feel free to loose a couple hundred selling it second hand.

^agreed... alot of us grabbed em because they were cheap, and wouldn't feel bad about hacking up a $700 guitar modding it. Gonna mod it anyway, to make it fit you, your style, right? For me, it would be different if I paid full price and got blems or bad QC(which is my biggest prob with agiles, you never know what you're gonna get imo). these have great potential... IMO the best Ibby for the money, even full priced. $399 is what the RG7321 is selling for new, in comparison
