Jackson SLAT3-7 TBK with BDG

Today I got this crazy tobacco burst guitar that actually looks more like it's transparent black.

Good Stuff. That a real maple top or veneer? Those look sweet - my gas is totally rising for one.

The headstock is black. I'm sure the USA model will have a matching headstock.

Its a rosewood fretboard, but its very dark. Probably dyed, because I have black residue on my fingers from playing for the last couple of hours. I like the shape a lot more than the hellraiser I had.

I don't know if the top is a veneer or not. Looks sweet what ever it is. Maybe I should return it because its not tobacco burst.

The guitar looks nice! I was hoping someone would post some
of the other finishes.

How do you like it with the stock emg's?

Honestly the build quality on mine was top notch. I haven't found a single thing wrong with it. Binding, paint, frets, inlays, all perfect. Its...well its a great japanese jackson. You know exactly how it is! Everythings 'good'. You start critiquing it and think yeah thats good enough. Yeah I like this. Yep thats fine. It's only the woods and inlay materials etc. that you'd change on a custom shop form. It's road ready and a professional instrument. And best yet? It's totally jackson! The neck, the playability, its all jackson. That can be a pro or a con here I guess.

Really, you just gotta kick matts butt to get one in hehe.

Tobacco burst is not available dude, it's just a typo. It is actually transparent black, so you got the right model.

But it looks freaking awesome! Could you upload more pictures? Front view, neck joint-thickness, etc? I'm SERIOUSLY considering selling my S7420 and my Agile to get one of those

nothing against your Ibanez and Agile but I suspect the Jackson shines very brightly next to them.

So far between the Jackson SLAT3-7, the Agile Interceptro Pro 727, and the Hellraiser C-7 FR that I've had, I liked the finish on the guitar and the feel of the neck on the SLAT3 the most.

The hellraiser to me had the most crunch with the heaviest sound. I also like how the hellraiser has two volumes. But the neck, I know its an "ultra-access heel", but it always felt like I was bumping up against something when I hit anything on fret 22-24.

The agile had the best price, given it was the only one of those 3 with an ebony fretboard to boot, but I think I would rather have a veneer than the microwave maple top they put on the one I had.

I will try to post more pics and a review after I get a new floyd intonation tool.
