I think my mom got ripped off...

I was talking to her about my guitar today when she mentioned that she spent 700 something dollars on it.

So I'm like "what?" I see it online for 300-400 and I'm pretty sure the suggested retail is 500 something.

She ordered it from a local music store in November of '04. Was the rg7321 really worth 700 something (including tax) back then?

Adam has disabled reputation
In Canada, most of the stores I went to for a RG7321 had a retail price of almost $700

Such pain, I must help...deepen it

Bregaladar is on a distinguished road
Local guitar stores are almost always a rip off, I had a place order dimarzios for me and the total (with labour, but still) was $285.

Glory and praise to Thee, Satan, on high,
Where Thou didst reign, in Hell where Thou dost lie,
Vanquished, silent, dreaming eternally.
Grant that my soul some day rest close to Thee
Under the Tree of Knowledge which shall spread
Its branches like a Temple overhead.

hahaha, that's fuckin hilarious, but I'd probably cry if that happened to myself (not possible...). I'm trying to get a job at "Mills Music" about a block from my house. They sell Fender copies called Marlins for like $75... all the way up to Conklin Basses. Their most popular guitar, is a 6 string Washburn for $699.99, which is $200.00 at guitar center.

It pays to do reasearch. A markup to 700 from a local shop isn't that unusual.

I did the research, I just didn't get involved in the whole money thing.

She said they gave some kind of discount or something...I dunno...but I have a job there now so I'll try to learn the in's and out's of this.

If you work there I'd find the guy who sold it to her, don't they have a record of sales or would that be to long ago? Anyways, I'd find the salesman strike up a friendship with him and slaughter his family!....er...Yeah I'd be pissed.
