5150 Clips - It's good to be back

Did this today - we had a halfday because of state testing, and I felt inspired.

Definately a more mellow feel than a lot of my other stuff, but I can't believe how freaking good this 5150 is sounding. I should have never sold my original one.

Wow dude, i really dig that: tone and melody.

Do you have the OD pedal in front of the amp, and is that a reg 5150 or a 5150II

Thanks guys!

OD pedal infront, Maxon OD808. Was recorded with one SM57 on a V30 in an Avatar 2x12.

Regular 5150, Drums were DFHS with kick replaced 90% with an Andy Sneap kick, snare replaced 50/50 with a DM4 sample.

Thanks guys, I updated it with the rhythm guitars a bit louder and the overall mix higher in volume.

I need to add a bass for some low end presence in the overall mix, but this is definately the best work I've ever done, and I can't believe how good the 5150 sounds with my shitty recording setup... I hate to toot my own horn, but it's sounding fairly pro to me!

The tone's pretty good, but the drums are pretty clearly programmed, and the mix is a little off (guitars way too loud, definitely needs bass guitar, not just to fill it out, but because it's an important instrument in a band that often gets overlooked).
