Nuendo users...looking for a creative solution...

Hey all! Okay, here's the setup:

Say I put a soft-amp (Guitar Rig 3, Amplitube 2, whatever) onto my input bus so I print the amp effect to the take; essentially just like recording the output of my XT Pro. Now, if I create a second input bus, using the same physical input but with no FX then I can also capture the dry guitar for every take.

So the question is...how do I re-amp that?

Back in the day, I would have a new instance of Amplitube 1 for every guitar track I wanted. So the effect was always processing the dry take, and I could change the tone on any track whenever I wanted. The downside, obviously, was wasted CPU cycles.

So doing it 'Virtual POD' style makes more sense as I can have almost unlimited guitar tracks and only use one instance of the plugin. But what I can't figure out is how I'd get that dry guitar signal back into the effect at the input stage. I might just be being a bit dense.

Or, it might not be possible within Nuendo.

Waddayathink?

Hmm I'm not entirely sure I understand what it is you want to do, but as a side note, thanks for teaching me the "virtual pod style", that's really handy. I was still putting a new instance on each track
