cool, those ones look pretty nice. i had my eye on those ones (along with the non-camo version) on musiciansfriend.

i've heard those are pretty good, but the only ones that are in the price range are the sr60's, do you know if those ones are any good? the reviews seem pretty good...

and thanks for all the recommendations so far, keep 'em coming!

Sony MDRs. They use them for everything. I love mine.

SR60s are great headphones but I would never use them for mixing. Get a headphone amp and HD650s, those are pretty flat sounding but that might be over your price range

The MDR-V6s are solid headphones, you should be able to get them for ~$100

why not? not flat response?

reading the reviews, i hear they're great headphones for listening to music and stuff but i'm not really finding much as far as how good they are for mixing

Some of the Grado cans have that nice NS10-like "fuck your mix, here's what sounds awful and you'll hate life until you fix it" vibe. That's what I go for, at least.

hmm, those sony mdr-v6's look pretty good. not too expensive, and the reviews seem to be pretty positive as far as a studio monitor headphone goes.
