The "less is more" production you've got going on there is working pretty decently.

Ruins is just really niceRuins is just really nice
it sounds great its hard for me to judge because there are no vocals
but for now it sounds like it could have fetter guitars but then again i have not the best speakers here so it might sound totally badass on normal system
well good work man!

I think everything is great man. It's a great song, and will be greater when the vox comes on.

the only thing I didn't like was the way you were screaming on the guitar. It sounds flat and out of tune I think. It's not a biggy, but I would change it.

But that END dude... Seewiiiit!

I don't think the guitars could be fatter IMO it's probably your speakers methinks. I have some bose speakers and it's pretty ballsy and sounds beefy on my studio headphones and shitty earbuds (gotta make sure it sounds pimp on everything!) ... i'll see if i can't make em even beefier

As far as amp models ... big bottom and a bit of chunk chunk (i lurb dual amps ). It's actually very similar to Bulb's tone with very different EQ using Voxengo Curve EQ and I used Waves RComp for compression. The lower end isn't too different from the kick which allows for the kick and guitar to flow seamlessly (probably spelled that wrong for all you grammar Nazis out there ). Getting the mids and upper mids to sit well with the snare and overheads was a bitch, but I managed to get that right for once I think.

The bass is actually Bulb's bass tone. I have yet to make a good bass tone that sits well in the mix and his bass tone with my big bottom / chunk chunk combo = teh sex. Also there's just a bit of EQ with Voxengo Curve and compression using a plugin called "Classic Compression"

The drums were DKFHS ... default Sonor kit with the 13" THE snare and a bunch of different crashes/rides. All the ambient mics are off ... i don't feel the need for em for the drum mix i'm going for (plus it saves me a bunch of ram ) My only quarrel is with the toms. I used the Sonor toms which i think provide a better low end than the Premier I was using ... i need em beefy and be able to cut through enough to make them distinct, but not make everything muddy. They're fine for now, but they need something more I think.

Espaul, as far as my screaming guitars (?) I'm trying to figure out what you mean Are talking about my pinch harmonics? I know theres one major one I do in the bridge before the second chorus in the right channel guitar that just sounds awful after listening to it. I hope that's what your talking about ... i'm lost haha

The track has been sent for vocals, the vocals have been written and are mapped out out, and are currently being recorded. The song will hopefully be finished by this weekend at the latest I'd imagine, maybe sooner. You guys will love em! It'll be worth it's own post most definitely

Thanks everyone for listening and I hope that answered everyone's questions etc. Keep em coming

Wow man, I love it! Reunion is my favorite song you have posted in one place or another.

Though I usually love your material in A, Bb this number around massaged my ear cockles the right way!

Production-wise I think this one sounded the best to me and your playing sounded absolutely tight. I thought I was going to miss the old outtro but this one ended very well!

Cherrio 'o chap!

sooooooooooooo sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!
the cymbals would definitely benefit from the ambient mic's though.

damn i love the sound of a EMG707. is the TW better in any other way than the coil splitting?

anyway, very sexy!
