Man I loved that spot where quitars and drums comes from subtle to clarity . And expecially the first roll (around 0:50) when I thought that there would come some riff-storm but it's just stylish jamming and calm melodies.
Maybe the drums need some touch-ups. Now "drumkit" sounds littlebit lifeless. For this kind song it needs some soul...which is extremely hard to recieve with drum vst.
Good playing overall. Wonderful piece of music.
Thank you.

Yeh, i agree on the drums. I just use random kit samples (wavs) and then just arrange them in Fruity loops which isnt the best but it works for quick demos.

I don't really do any other work on them bar a little bit of eq and mabye some reverb if im feeling adventurous.

I also agree on the filter sections, they are my favourite bits.

Yeh, i got an ebow for christmas and this is the first time i used one on a track. They are great once you get used to using them.

Thanks.

Only with wavs?
Wow...
So you don't use any drum vst stuff?
If so I must say it's quite suprising how nice the overall result sounds. Of course it's someway the same when you are joking around with drumvst's (Like DFHS, AddictiveDrums, BeatCraft etc...) but I would quess it takes more work to sound ok if you're working only with samples in FL. (vst's have all those room and overhead mics and stuff...I should move over for mixing real drums. ) At least you got some good samples for your drums.
What can I say? I appreciate you more than second ago? Yeah that's it! You're the man.

And being adventurous is great thing always...But don't overuse the reverb. Just don't...It's sacred.

Yeh icon, i didnt use Vst's as technically i dont even know what the hell they are. My setups pretty damn low tech compared to some recording rigs ive seen on some forums.

Would you be surprised to know that the guitars are all from a Boss Gt-6? I hate the thing if i'm honest. Been gassin for a Pod for months but havent bothered getting one.

As for reverb the most id ever go to is "a tad". I couldn't live with myself if i turned my kit into an 80's "reverbalicious" kit. Thats just too much. .

Anyways, ive just finished night shift and im rambling. So good day for now.

Thanks Ramsey.

As for playing live, first we must audition some bassists in a few weeks time.

That was great!

I actually rather like the solo as it is, too.

Wey! another Scottish dude. And a Glasgow one at that!

And sorry for the bump but i have tried various other solos and none seem to fit as much as the random but very fitting original. I did say i would try some and write a better one but i have failed.

So i think i shall just leave it as is and relearn that solo and get it a bit tighter for live duty.

Over and out.
