This song and guitar tone is awesome man, great job!

I would say maybe overall the mix is a little under powered in the bass, but I could be wrong. That guitar tone is brilliant though, sounds better than anything I've ever got out of my XT with the metal pack What amp are you using? If you don't mind me asking...

At the risk of sounding incredibly noobish i'm going to say - i dont know

I just play with EQ .... a lot. I tend to stick to the rule of kick-drum and bass handles the lower frequencies, guitars handle the mid-to-high-ish, and you should mold them as such. With some amp models like the one i've got here i'll play with it until i've got tight bass response in the guitars, but there's no bass-resonance if that makes any sense. So there's no big after-chug, it's tight. I think i over-did the mids on this one personally, hence why there's some complaints about lack of bass. It's there, i just dont think you can hear it because the mids are too over-powering but i've backed them off a bit now. If you listen to this on big stereo speakers the bass is very much there, it's just not coming through so well i dont think! Oh well, it's all a learning process!

I really need to spend more time with my XT, despite having had it for about a year now . I'm reasonably happy with my live tone (though my cab) but I can't seem to get there with the direct one.

The pinch harmonics just jump out at you with that tone though man. Gave me goosebumps the first time I heard it How many tracks are there for the guitars? 2, 4 or more perhaps? (I like to ask questions )
