Reaper rules... it's just so intuitive compared to Cubase... although I do seem to have a latency problem with it...

So, there's no onboard EQ/Compresser/Reverb etc? cause i still can't see it!

Also, does it have the ability to cut a track up once it's recorded? like on Logic if you spot something you dont like or you fucked up or whatever, you can slice the track, delete the bit you don't want, then re-record it. Can Reaper do that? cause i can't figure it out

Don't worry, i'm just a dumbass..

I use Tracktion and love it, though Reaper looks to be one hell of a deal too. I'd like to give it a whirl one of these days.

Nope. No channel-based EQ or dynamics - it's all plug-in based.

Just do another take, hit ctrl-L to pop the takes up in lanes, use ctrl-s to split the tracks where you want the edit to take place, and select the take you want.

Division - American metal that doesn't suck. Much. Even on MySpace, and Soundclick, too.

my question still stands about track cutting btw, when i said "i'm such a dumbass" i was referring to the track FX question. I still need to know if it can cut a track up!

Tracktion looks good, never used it though

Haha, you just answered my question as i was writing this eaeolian ^^ thanks

Reaper is pretty cool and it's basically free. There's not a final release yet for OSX, but I haven't run into any problem with the current build so far.
