Workin on some riffs (dkfh RG2228)

These r some riffs I was just messing aronud with in Garageband. The drums are missing fils n shit, and the guitar is sorta sloppy, was just quickly recorded to try things out.
The guitar is recorded using the amp simulations n shit in garageband. My podx3 is in for repairs.
I have no idea about mixing. I´ve always just played around with settings till it sounds ok. I have to mess around with this some more, and of course rerecord it. Just thought I´d see what people thinks.

The song is here

great stuff man! really like it.

the overall mix is pretty messy and overloaded. I'm sure a better guitar tone with the X3 would help clear things up.

FS: Brand new set of EMG808's. Still unpacked!

when that lead kicks in.. THat iss nice!

But I've heard quite a few rg2228 now, does this guitar just sound kinda fizzy, or does just everyone turn their tone to this?

It doesn't sound bad, just different, so no negativity just a question

I haven´t really had time to play around with my RG2228 and the POD yet, got my pod and the drive knob was fucked so i had to send it back, so I haven´t messed around with sounds for it yet, hopefully it will be better than this one. I have never been able to get a nice sound out of the amp simulators in Garageband, this was the best I got from it. I just recorded this to try some riffs out. I will post up a new version of this when I got sounds n mixes n shit figured out

Brutal stuff. Killer riffage, nice drumwork. Sounds badass. Nice work!

i think that 'floppy' sounding is just the natural guitar sound. they 8th string is just so damn low.

the second mix seems to have lost the meaty/chunky feel you previously had. seems like there are no low frequencies present... at least on these speakers
