Drum Programming
Just a quick question, I was wondering is it possible for me to write out drums in Guitar pro and then have it play through and record it in EZDrummer DFH? A friend of mone told me it was possible but i dont know how to go about doing this.

I'm not sure if that's possible, but if you're going to do that, why not just write it out in the MIDI sequencer in whatever recording program you use EZD in?

Im already familliar with Guitar pro so itll be a lot easier for me if I can Tab it in GP and export it when im finished. I'm using Cuabse which, unfortunately for me, dosn't seem to be the most idiot friendly program about lol

I've exported GP drums as midi and then imported them to be used with EZdrummer in Cubase before, watch out for the snare though. Sometimes it imports as "electric snare" rather than "acoustic snare", which seems to make EZdrummer do a lot of rimshots.

Ok so I just tryed to export it into DFH but the tempo changes I put in the drum track on guitar pro didn't seem to go throught to DFH. It's playing it all at one tempo I think so some parts are too slow and some parts are too fast. Anyone know how I can sort this? Last edited by madmurphy13; 05-17-2008 at 06:46 PM. Make sure you have Tempo track choosen. F2 and check if that is highlighted. ctrl+T and the tempo window will pop out, you can do change tempo there if that hasn't been done already.

It'll work, just import the midi. The velocities will be a lot light than normal, but if you right click and go to MIDI and fixed velocity it should put them all where you want and then you can adjust accordingly. And +1 on what Plankis said, watch that tempo track, press ctrl+T, to adjust that too (if you're in Cubase...).
