Dylan S is a jewel in the rough
MY NEW DEATH METAL SONG - rough mix but sick riffs! PLEASE LISTEN!

Hey guys,

I'm excited about this latest song I started writing this morning. I had the riffs in the intro sitting around for quite a while (if any of you remember my micing quadruple tracking tonetest) but I've slowed them down for a different feel.

Tell me what you think of the song ideas. The playing and mix is rough and I haven't finished it yet. I think it sounds like a mix of some nile and behemoth influences, with a bit of decapitated and some of my own groove.

SoundClick artist: Dylan Smith Music - I take things I like from plenty of bands and genres and put them together, and not all necessarily

the timing of the guitar sounds quite off in the intro in a couple of places.
But I like it, good work

Thanks guys.

It's EZdrummer with the drumkit from hell. They're some of the best sounding drums I've ever programmed and I only did a half job on them to make it sound decent enough to show people. I guess less is more?

Add a nice bass track and some wicked vox, and you have yourself an awesome death metal song. I'd recommend some slap riffs for the bass if you decided to add to this, I just think that'd sound killer over the guitars.

I'm assuming he's going to want to mass produce these rack pies, and why not? I love racks, I love pies, so put them together and you have pie covered titties. - JJ

Yes, a bass track is definitely in order, but I still suck at EQ-ing bass and getting a good tone that gels well with the guitars, so I think I'll concentrate on finishing the song first.
