Line 6 Toneport UX-2 or Guitar Port ?

Hello folks,
Im a newbie in recording etc. and wanted to start with something not too expensive. I thought about Line6 Toneport UX2
or
Line 6 Guitar Port

If there´s something better (up to 250 euro) ,please recommend.

Thanks in advance

The UX1 is right between the two of them... it has most/all the abilities of the UX2, but it lacks a few of the less necessary features.

Ok... but there´s no feedback of that Guitar Port at all. So you guys would prefer UX as well ?

I've owned both the GuitarPort and the UX-1, but currently use the UX-1. The UX-1 has 1/4" outputs and an XLR in, whereas the GuitarPort is limited to RCA/Phono style outputs a single 1/4" input and a headphone jack. My preference would be the UX-2 for the extra ins and phantom power, but I'm happy with the UX-1 for what I do (mostly don't...) musically right now.

You can grab the UX-2 at Thomann for 169 Euro: Line6 Toneport UX2
The UX-1 is onlt 109 Euro Line6 Toneport UX1

I second the UX2 notion. I use one and it's the second recording interface I've owned. The first was an mbox2 and the damn thing never EVER worked. I think the toneports are the way to go when you're wanting to have compatibility on your side.

The extra mic inputs can come in handy. I've never used both at the same time with mine, but in good time I'll be double micing and experimenting, and with the UX1 I wouldn't have that option.

Also, if you're debating between the UX1 and the UX2 and you realise the model add on packs for the UX1 are cheaper and that makes you sway in that direction, just download the ones for the UX1 for your UX2 like I did and it still works fine.
