![]() ![]() | Peavey Revalver MK III Peavey.com : Products : ReValver I just downloaded the demo a little while ago and got to play with it for about 30 minutes. My initial impressions are extremely positive. The fuzzy high end that many modelers have seems to be fairly non-existent. However, I couldn't coax a tone out that didn't have some sort of strange low end "tubby" feeling. The one thing that impressed me the most is the tweakability. You can go in and change out preamp and power tubes, grid resistors, plate voltages, bypass caps, and many other things. The fact that you can go inside of a Peavey 6505 and tweak the bias and tube layout is astounding! I'm sure that this release of Revalver will allow for extremely varied and endlessly personalized tones. Has anyone else played with it yet? Your ass here! |

![]() | Yeah, I have tried it. I used Revalver 2 long time after I realized that Guitar Rig II's (was downloaded illegally...*coughcough) highgain models sound quite crap and it was hard to tweak (for me) to sound reasonable good. Amplitube II didn't even work on my computer...Didn't like my soundcard I think. However Revalver II is awesome. I recorded lot of songs with it. Next I got Line 6's Pod X3 Live and of course it sounded awesome. Now again I tried Revalver III demo...Oh wow. It's so tweakable and it sound extremely cool...It got that tube feel. It gived me some doupts about my pod x3...and it's little bit scary. ![]() |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | There's already a running thread about Revalver here. Definitely register on their forum and start downloading the the impulses that have been linked there. The stock IR files never really impressed me either. The new IR's from Peavey are OK, but I still tend to use Guitar Hack's or Harley Benton's instead. "We are not going to do a free-form jazz exploration in front of a festival crowd!" |

![]() | I think that program is a great advertisement tool, if those amps are very accurate. I liked the 6505 the best. My line in was delayed by about a half second, so I had to crank up the volume so my guitar didn't throw me off from the Revalver. |
