Clip of my Rectoverb with KT-77's

this amp is proving a lot harder to record than my JSX is.
I used my GMW for this one (all maple solid quilt body maple neck)
on Vintage mode thru the hotplate with the SD-1 in front.
this is an old Vinnie Moore tune called Meltdown, I tried not to butcher it to badly.
No effects just the reverb from the amp.
i'm trying to record as dry as I can so I can hear the amps real tone
and get optimal mic position before I go fiddling with effects.

Hey man, I think this sounds great. I'm a big Vinnie fan. This sounds much beefier than the original.

That sounds awesome. I'm not familiar with the tune, but you're an awesome player, Nick Very glad that you've decided to start recording and posting it here, I really enjoy all the stuff you've posted so far.

Edit: I'm curious as to how you got an all maple guitar to sound so fucking beefy

I have trouble just getting my Soloist to sound thick.

thanks !
I'm not really playing this tune dead on (at all ) , I'm just going off of memory, so I know I screwed up in a few places.
I just figured I'd try recording something with the Rectoverb with a decent BT and I've always loved this tune.
Codyyy you should really get into some of the Vinman's stuff, he's got great chops!
I'm a huge fan

Drew was surprised by how beefy this guitar sounds too.
Believe me if i could get GMW to make me an all maple 7 I would.
This guitar has got a duncan Sh-5 in the Bridge with an alnico magnet and a 59 at the neck.
I dropped in a 250k pot to smooth it out a bit and that's it. solid oiled maple neck on it too.
Lee (the guy that owns GMW) always gets the best pieces of wood for his bodies.
Every GMW I've ever played sounds great.
