JSX KT-77 clip (very raw)

I finally had some time to try and record something tonight so I just threw
in a backing track that I usually warm up to and wanked away.
My Carvin is in the shop so I just used my Jackson SL2H 6 string.
No effects no EQ no nothing, this is just raw into Cool edit 2000.
Crunch channel master on 3 channel on 2 gain at around 4 1/2, no boost. This is my
crunchy fusiony setting. It sounds thicker as I turn it up but my
daughter is already in bed so I thought I'd try a low volume (really low) attempt.
JSX->Rect 2x12 cab(V30's) sm57 - cool edit 2000.
Pretty sloppy but I haven't recorded anything at all in over a year and
I need some guidance on mic positioning etc, so any recording tips are very appreciated.
on to the wankage.

sounds badass, nick! good wankery!

I need to get a mic stand so my jsx sounds how it should when i record it lol. mine sound not like the amp when i record it, whereas yours definitely showcases a JSX doing what it was built for lol

3 cheers for free gear!

Thanks guys!
I love this amp for this type of thing

I gotta get my chops really going now, I may have the opportunity to record some original
stuff with a buddy of mine and I have a certain drummer that I want to play on the tracks that I wrote, who's
got lots of high level experience, so I've got to get my shit together now so I don't completely embarrass myself.

Codyyy, how are you getting along with that Loomis? any better?
