Hey everyone ... I have a new edit of a song I lost all the source files to due to a virus on my laptop. I had the orginal incomplete wave mixdown of the song saved on a portable hard drive thankfully, but a tried mixing it the best i could using multiband EQ and compression...hope it sounds alright to everyone. I'm not using my new EQ and mixing techniques you hear in "The Sky and The Fall" so it's not as high quality as i'd like, but it'll have to do until i rerecord it sometime in the future. I fucking love this song, it's my #2 most played after Reunion (godlike song btw...)

Only thing I find slightly bugging is the high-hats... they don't sit well in the mix... Too many highs...

Oh and please make more songs! I want more! Like now...

Thanks man ... glad you like Reunion too...I recorded that a while ago using the original DKFH, but now that I'll be getting superior (finally...i know i'm late into the game) AND my Schecter Hellraiser c7 (that I already have some SD PII Blackouts for) here in the next few days, you better believe I'll be rerecording that song. Everyone loves it and it actually used to get played on a local radio station in South Carolina when I lived there (albeit at 11pm, but it still got played dammit ). The new version will have some riff changes, an updated solo, much better mixing, better drums, and in drop A or Ab ... it shall be brutal...and it may have some vocals if i get that worked out
Yeah the hihats are a bit thin and well...high. They were like that in the original recording and since i don't have the source files I can't really lower them down a bit without taking some stuff from the overall mix . I will be rerecording every song you hear on my soundclick and myspace page...by the way head to that if you want to hear some different tunes ... Yeah I know this thread is somewhat dead, but the soundclick page is updated if anyone cares and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions/comments regarding my recordings/song writing? I'm bored at work and need the entertainment lol. I also just recieved my C7 Hellraiser with those new EMG 707-TWs in em so i have push/pull single coil capability so you better believe new stuff is on the way!
