olejason is a jewel in the rough
Basically, everything needs it's own spot in the mix to keep from distorting. Did you eq the tracks before mixing down? The whole mix may also be too hot, causing the distortion when it gets any hotter.

First time I've heard guitar rig 3, that sounds really good. I had the first guitar rig and always thought the high gain sounds were pretty weak but sounds like they have worked on it a lot since then

Ruins is just really niceRuins is just really nice
could this effect be achieved by simply lowering everything else to the level of drums and boost the final mix?

Awesome, something that's not a meshuggah ripoff

Sounds really good, man. The keyboards sound very ethereal. \m/

Glory and praise to Thee, Satan, on high,
Where Thou didst reign, in Hell where Thou dost lie,
Vanquished, silent, dreaming eternally.
Grant that my soul some day rest close to Thee
Under the Tree of Knowledge which shall spread
Its branches like a Temple overhead.
