Stopping track bleed through w/ cubase
hey guys, i'v been having a problem with my drum track bleeding through onto my audio tracks, ontop of which, they dont perfectly sync up, if it was just the audio, its so minute you wouldnt even notice, but with the drum track bleeding through, the latency makes a delay on the drum track. I would just leave it and sync up the tracks, but i dont know how to edit the tracks in cubase, it seems like they are block orientated and i cant take a 2/10ths of a second out to sync them. Hizzelp

Try rephrasing your first post. I can't actually understand what the hell the problem is.

ok, basically, when i record a track, then listen to it and try to record another track at the same time, it picks up the original track in addition to what i'm currently recording.
example, i lay out the midi drums, then make a audio track to record a guitar, but when i record the guitar, if i listen to the drums at the same time, it catches the guitar but it also catches the drums for a second time. And so on for each track. How do i stop the bleed through? |

I don't use Cubase, but it sounds like you have the new tracks set to "record output" instead of "input".

how bad is the bleed? if its really loud then the track isnt set up properly, if its real quiet in the background a mic picked up the sound.
my girlfriend says i'm totally METAL!

Yup, you definitely have something wrong in your routing.
I don't have Cubase up right now and it's been a while but check your input as unforgiven suggests. |
