Coryd is a jewel in the rough
D20 - First song w/ DFHS - Owlbear

I know its a weird name, but i am like that i guess. I used my Podxt for all the guitar and bass tracks and DFHS for drums. Recorded in Cubase 4.

Please give my your thoughts and input on the song (mix, tone, drums, etc). This is my first time recording anything in C4 also, so i am really new at this. Hope everyone likes it!!!

I personally think you have too much on the cymbals (overheads?), its sounds a bit brittle. But I suppose my opinion is invalid since I'm new to the recording business myself

By the way, the guitar sounds great, you've got some seriously heavy riffing going on there.

Many thanks!!! I have been working on trying to get a good guitar tone.

Does anyone have any thoughts on the drums besides the cymbals? Do they fit the song? Improvements? Drums are the hardest thing for me to mix and they take me the longest.

Thanks again for all the replies. I know everyone is honest here and I respect the opinions of all on SS.
