Question Cubase SX3 Won't Recognize NI Guitar Rig 2 VST dll's

I can't figure out how I need to set up the soundcard routing, or if it's even possible. I dont want to have to use their own internal recorder every single time I record, its a pain in the ass.... please help?

Looking for RG7CST in mint-or-close condition. Please PM with offers or email at guitarplayerone@gmail.com

im not quite sure what you're talking about
a few questions anyways, just to sort thigns out
what soundcard do you have.
second of all, what do you mean by "I dont want to have to use their own internal recorded every single time I record"? you need to use some program to capture the audio. now if you use GR2 or something else, thats up to you, but you have to use something

MrJack has a spectacular aura about
For me Guitar Rig 2 shows up as a VST-plugin which I then assign to a track as an FX. After I've set up the sound I want it's just a matter of recording the track.

Don't know if this is the correct way but it works for me.

I want to use it within Cubase SX3. My soundcard is a Sound Blaster Audigy ZS 2. Its supposed to show up as a VST in cubase?

I noticed it also shows up in the DXi (DirectX instruments) category within the plugins section in Sonar.

For Guitar Rig 2 to show up as a VST-plugin there should be a GuitarRig 2.dll file in the *:\Program Files\Steinberg\VstPlugins folder.

For DXi you can show where the GuitarRig 2DXi.dll is, it should be in a folder labeled DXi which can be found in the *:\Program Files\Native Instruments\Guitar Rig 2 folder.

You're looking in the wrong place, Guitar Rig is a VST effect, not an instrument, so you're going to be using it as an insert effect on your input track.

AWESOME thanks so much guys... I guess for now I will just use the standalone to 'monitor' what the guitar actually sounds like.. i remember that there was a way to use the sends so that the effect is 'on before recording' but that isn't an important point (also I have enough RAM so that maybe its a good idea to record everything clean... and then I can fuck around with any preset combo and change whatever I want)

THANKS SO MUCH DUDES>>> YOURE AWESOME
