Is this prompted by a question about a limiting plug-in that can go by peak or RMS?
The short answer is "too loud." the long answer is grab a metal album you like, rip a track to .wav, open it in your editor, then pull up the plugin and have it spit back the "current" RMS value.

It was actually just a curious question. I didn't know if there was an industry standard or something.
I'll do that. Thanks. |

The industry standard is, sadly, "louder than everyone else."

Most of tracks end up -10 to -14db. Good sounding ones not more than -14, loud sounding ones go sometimes up to -9db.
