![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Sound Clip: Burning Times Alright, so I've been working on recording again. This time I've got something I'm happy with. So now it's 'levels' that I need to fix. How does this sound to you guys? Overall volume needs increasing? Just guitars? Just drums? Lemme know what you guys think (other than the sloppy playing) http://home.comcast.net/~regor/sounds/BT.mp3 ![]() Metal... Nuff Said!! I'm curious, how did you record it? (Oh BTW throw in some nice contrasting bass lines and FUCK YA!) ![]() "and we'll also be establishing, beyond all scientific doubt, that ANY note can be made to sound good over ANY chord, so long as you put it in the right place!" Guthrie Govan | |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Ran my rig thru an H&K Red Box Pro into a XLR-TRS impedance converter into my Tascam 788 Portastudio. Had to do a few EQ adjustments, and use some compression settings on both my G-Force and the 788. But I'm very happy with the outcome. The only reason I did this clip is because I've always had a volume problem with my recordings (being too low). so I figured if I A/B'd with a known song, then I can tell where I stand. I think I'm pretty close volume-wise to where I need to be to make a demo. And thanks for the compliment. I've been trying for YEARS to get 'my' tone recorded well enuff to make me happy. Think I've finally found a way good enough to record a demo CD with my band finally. |

![]() | Yup, sounds like a demo. I need to hear the Kick more, and the bass needs to be separated from the rest (I thought I heard one, but maybe I'm imagining it). The overall volume needs to come up a little as well. guitars, snare and cymbals are fine in the mix, level-wise. |
