Rehearsal Space Pic Story (56K:it's your choice)
I guess rehearsal space troubles are a common thing around here...at least it was a common thing for our Band. Either the rent was through the roof, we had to leave on short notice (short like in "get your stuff out before the locks are changed", no kidding!) because of stupid people you shouldn't rent out places they don't even own...stuff like that. So, I decided we're through with sh*& like that and we're putting the rehearsal space in my basement. Hope it's interesting to anyone, I'll keep you updated as we progress...

I have a question about rehearsal spaces as well.....
I have a room in my garage i plan on turning into a rehearsal/studio room. I am thinking of lining the walls with eggshell foam for sound reduction. Should i buy this Buy Auralex Studiofoam Designer Kit online at Musician's Friend

or should i just buy some regular eggshell foam?

Any input will help. Thanks a bunch.

Auralex isn't for sound reduction, it's for sound control IIRC. First reduce the sound to the outside world with sound proof coating, mats, or something. Then you use the Auralex to control the room's acoustic properties.
