My guitar break is over, and I recorded a song.

ShawnF and his Soundclick are good buddies.

i use the soundclick so my drummer can download the songs and write drums for them, as our schedules are very conflicting and we rarely get a chance to get together and write something.

the song is an instrumental, and there are currently no other instruments other than guitar. some of the parts are sloppy *coughsweepscough

*, but i think it turned out okay.

the moral of the story is, i'm back into playing guitar.

edit: also, i have a podxtl now, which is what prompted me to record something.

edit again: also, the solo is imo, the coolest part of the song, so if you don't want to listen to the whole thing, at least listen until then (about 1:28 in).

i like the rythm tone.. very gritty and biting... but the solo tone need s abit of work .. its a cool song tho ! i had a very similar song written a while ago... (without the wicked soloing tho cos i cant pull off any of that shit)

I love that rhythm sound, and I like the clean breakdown too!

We definitely need to jam asap.

thanks! i didn't feel like programming another patch just for a lead tone, so i just used the rhythm patch i made. i made the rhythm patch to sound as close to my framus dragon as i could, but my framus has a more articulate tone.

thank you! you know, even though the mids on that patch are at about 4:00, it still has a sort of scooped sound, which i don't like for leads at all. i think i'll make another patch with a smoother, more mid-heavy tone and re-record the solo.

I wasn't sure what it was about the tone that just seemed ever so slightly off, but now that you say that, it makes sense.
