Full song of my band

sooooooo...... we finally finished recording our first song and here it is for you guys to listen to and maybe give some constructive criticism:

http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm...ndID=161313057

didnt record any guitar-stuff on this as I was vocalist when we first recorded that (well, actually I DID record a short part). this week we finally recorded new vocal-tracks with our new lead-vocalist (growls) and my own backing vocals (screams)

stuff used and things done:
drums: programmed in GP5, played through Battery 2
bass: our bassists 5-string (forgot what it is... Ibanez I think...) into my cheap, little old KenRose practice-amp, direct out into PC
guitars: other guitarplayers Jackson JS30KV with stock PUs (dont worry, he got a new guitar ) into my Behringer VAmp Pro (yes, its ALL VAmp) directly into the PC
vocals: Shure SM58 into Behringer Tube Ultragain MIC200 preamp into PC

I did all the recording, mixing mastering and its my first time recording/mixing/mastering a whole song btw

so please comment my friends! and feel free to ask any questions of course!

Woo. Good stuff. So, I assume you are the black metallish vocals. Soundin' good. Good luck.

our other guitarplayer is responsible for the page, but I added you with my solo-project nice music!

about the drums:
we have all our songs tabbed out (pretty much) in Guitar Pro so I programmed the drum-parts (together with our drummer) in Guitar Pro and exported that (only the drums) as a midi-file
I then used Battery 2 in Cubase, imported the midi-track and let it play through Battery 2 --> drumtrack
for our next recording (started already) I recorded 3 tracks (kickdrum and snare in extra-tracks) to have more control and so I can make the drums more dynamic and realistic. we'll see how that works out

Naren: thanks! yep, I'm the Blackmetallish voice. I can go relatively low, too. but our lead-vocalist does this better
anyone else feel remembered of Kataklysm?

I'll notify all you guys when our first album is finished and we do our first US headlining tour

nah seriously: we may release a demo with a few tracks this year. this was mainly so we have something to send to people to get some gigs

thanks James! well, I think there is also quite a bit of metalcore influence in the stuff our other guitarplayer writes

can anyone give some recommendations about what can be improved and HOW to do this?

listened to it in my car today and I think it lacks a bit of that "punch"... maybe I should try boosting the "upper lowend" a little more?
I think the guitarsound needs to improve, it sounds a bit thin sometimes
